I usually test my pattern ideas on small pieces of fabric, dyeing with one or more surface design techniques, such as screenprinting, stenciling, discharging or handpainting.
Many of these pieces are 18" x 22" cotton, called "fat quarters" by quilters, who appreciate one-of-a-kind dyed fabrics as alternatives to commercially printed cotton.

I have not included prices for these pieces, since inventory changes frequently as they sell. Prices for "fat quarters" range from $5 to $18. Visit Ginko Gallery to see what's currently in stock (see my CONTACT page).
