WALL HANGINGS
In the series, “Self Portrait: Leaf,” surface design techniques (screen-printing, stenciling, painting, resist-printing, stitching) build layers of color and pattern onto a single piece of white cloth. Here the leaf is both subject matter and tool: on the screen, oak leaves are brushed with dye, then left to dry. With each successive print, the colors are gradually released, with results both unpredictable and unique.
